Nair chats with the hotel's GM, Krishna Kumar Menon and Menon is willing to host a Madras Day event. Wow!
Now that is how we'd like the celebrations to go . . . Networking for a cause.
So, the Green Park will be the venue for an evening of events for children followed by a talk by historian Randor Guy. With clips from 15 Tamil films, Guy will talk about Madras in the Movies. The clips will show us some parts of the city where the sequences were shot.
Surveswaran of 'Vintage Heritage' ( which promotes vintage films and music) will provide us the clips.
This is a show film buffs shouldn't miss. August 20 evening.
PS; Many other city hotels are hosting public talks. A great gesture. We welcome others to join the event!
